6: Me, a Bawarchi.... Where was I ?.......Oh yes,the Puliyogare and Bulls eye. Well, So the culinary Journey continued........ Wed- Bulls eye, Puliyogare, Pop-corn, Rice, Dalitove, Banana Upkari and Anjal fry. Thursday- Maida dosa, Veg-sandwich, Egg fried Rice and Noodles(From Beijing bites) Friday- Bread Omelet, Doddaka, Charmbure Upkari, Dalitove, sannapolo, bangda fry. Saturday- Bread and Maggi Noodles, Kori-Rotti/Prawn tava fry/Chicken ghee roast(Coastal express). Sunday- Appo-Chatni, Dalitove, Batate Upkari, Fried Batate happolu and Onion Sandige. And then wifey came back. Phew, That was that. But then hard work of cooking for the week was only part of it. There was the emotional roller-coaster ride too. Familiarity breeds contempt. I found out this to be very true. Generally my interaction with the kids involves reacting to the reports from my wife. Giving them a benevolent smile if the report is good. Giving a malevolent stare if the report is bad. And then an occasional Hug when the Paternal instinct overcame me. But more than anything it involved giving advice to my wife. Do not ask the Kids what to prepare for food, They have to eat what you make. Do not scream at them when they are slow or late, let them miss the school van once and they will learn. You do all their things for them, they will take you for granted. They will also start answering back to you insolently! And many such nuggets of wisdom! Now that the shoe was on the foot I was doing all the same things. And by Saturday the Kids were taking me for granted. They were dictating what to prepare, delaying getting ready for school and all the same old stuff they did with their mother. why, I even got an insolent reply from my son which earned him a cuffed ear! It will take a long time before I can earn my Tyrannical status with the Kids back again >>>>>/Deep sigh/
