6 PHOTOS: Ladies and gentlemen, the City of Beverly Hills had an enjoyable holiday event at the lilly pond in Beverly Gardens Park. Near BH City Hall, many guests were treated to a program by, among others, the 4-grammar school all-star choir, the BH High School Band and some worthwhile presentations led by our beloved City Mayor Lili Bosse. Vice Mayor Julian Gold and City Council Member and former Mayor John Mirisch. They participated in the unique program as did BH Board of Education Noah Margo who wonderfully stated that we should ALL keep in mind that this event was for the children. Santa closely watched all of us to see who was naughty and who was nice. Not so incidentally, apparently, there will not be a campaign for the two city council seats that would have been open to anyone who wished to run for office. Nobody filed to run. Both our Mayor Lili as well as Vice Mayor Julian Gold will each serve another 4-year term in their capacity of continuing city council members. Here is a recent message to to our community by our Mayor Lili: With tremendous gratitude and a full heart, I have to share that I was just informed that the March 2015 City Council filing period expired at 5pm today and there were no additional candidates who came forward. This news means that we will not be having a council election after all. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your confidence, support, friendship and offer to help in my campaign. I am wholeheartedly grateful to serve our community and our beloved city, for another term side by side with you….. Thank you, Lili for being the kind of leader from whom, I believe, most citizens of our country would benefit.
