6 STEPS TO ACHIEVING YOUR GOALS I am often get asked, How do we achieve our goals? My suggestion: Get into the habit of setting aside twenty minutes every day to #brainstorm, #plan, and measure #progress toward the achievement of your goals. Place all of your power and energy behind them, especially in the early stages when #momentum is crucial. Once youre fully committed, burn the bridge behind you; leave no possibility of retreat. Cleanse your #mind of contingency planning or Plan Bs. #Failure cannot be an option. Here are some other tried-and-true principles I encourage you to consider: 1. Start with a #dream. Create a dream that really gets your heart pumping. Use your #imagination and see it, hear it, feel it, touch it, and taste it. 2. Brainstorm and write down your milestone #goals. Think of all possible intermediate steps, or goals, you could accomplish that would #lead you one step closer to the #achievement of your #dream. 3. Be #precise and establish measurable specifics. Dont say, Im going to lose weight. Say, Im going to lose ten pounds before the end of the month. 4. Set a definite but #realistic schedule. A goal without a timetable is like a clock without hands; it doesnt tell you much. 5. Put together a written #plan. All travelers in a foreign land need a map to help them #navigate. A plan isnt a plan unless its written. 6. Take immediate #action. Any time you set a goal, do something, anything, toward its achievement.
