6 health tips for 2015: 1. Eat more mindfully By chewing your food 20 times (at least) you not only become satiated more quickly, but you will also enjoy the experience more 2. Avoid bright light In the hour before bed, avoid iPads, iPhones and TV as the blue light from them will shut down melatonin production (your sleep hormone) 3. Be in and out the gym in 15 minutes Tired of long workouts? High intensity interval training will do the job in a quarter of the time. My workout yesterday lasted all of 15 minutes!! I did super fast cross trainer for 30s, rested for 60s and repeated 10 times. 4. Avoid calorie restriction There could be nothing worse for your health than restricting calories. To do so goes against our very evolution. Just eat mindfully until youre full x 3/day and avoid snacking. 5. Improve digestion with sprouts My wife and I have just got in to sprouting and the benefits to our digestion have been awesome. You can get alfalfa sprouts in the supermarket or grow them your self. Add them to meals for incredible texture/flavour and digestive support:) 6. Experiment with your food approach I eat a very specific diet for my skin (its a Paleo autoimmune approach) which eliminates Gluten, Dairy and Nightshades. I dont restrict calories but I wont eat a food that flares up my skin. The point is - dont settle! If youre body isnt happy eating the way you are right now, experiment with different approaches. Your body will tell you when youre getting it right Will (dog walker, surfer, avid follower of the paleo approach)
