6 months ago today you left us, i held your right hand as you took your final breaths, your blue eyes were bleary, they were jaded and they were drained, but before you left, they still had one last look for us, a look that said im so sorry for leaving you, and a look telling us you fought a losing battle as hard as anyone could, a look of hope for us and most of all, a look of undying love, we knew it then and we know it now, that look stayed with us, and in some ways, so did you, you left behind your pieces... in chad you left your positivity and your patience, in kristen you left your spirit and your humor, in jared you left your loyalty and your determination, in me you left your confidence and your creativity, and in mama you left your heart and all things beautiful within it, in her you left a million tiny moments of love and passion, and teamwork and commitment, and struggle and sacrifice, and happiness and forevers, we are forever grateful, and lastly, in all of us you left your tears, so that when we miss you, when we think about you, when we want to hear you or feel you or see you, when we so badly wish you were here, through your pieces, in some small, colorful ways, you are. rip pop. love you forever and ever.
