6 years ago today (9/22/2008), I fell victim to a Massive Hemmorhagic Stroke of The Lower Cerebellum. I dropped into a Coma. The Doctors told my Family that No One survives this injury and that I would die that night. The next day I was still Comatose .. but ALIVE!!! The Doctors THEN told my Family that they had no explanation as to WHY I lived, but I would surely be in a vegetative state the rest of my natural life. Two months later, I awoke, thinking it was the day AFTER I fell sick. I was ... fine, but I had to learn to walk again (!). In addition, I had apparently lost my previous Martial Arts Training, as well as most of my memories for the previous 20 years, or so (!). I spent about two years, meeting new people I no longer knew(!). Aside from the memory loss, I possess NO deficits typical of a Stroke Survivor. You CANNOT discern that I experienced a Stroke ... of ANY kind. It is SURELY by Gods Grace that I not only live TODAY, but ALSO that I am an Instructor in Hardcore Jeet Kune Do ... under Sifu Lamar Davis . God continued to bless me by allowing me to overcome Pernicious Anemia, Cancer, a recent Abdominal Surgery, and by placing me in close proximity to Lamar Davis (I am anxious to return to training). The GREATEST blessing is Arleen Owens, who God put there to insure I lived to brag about it!!!!! Thank you for reading. KB
