$60,000 City Trader Playboy Penthouse Competition UPDATE 1;- So the winners of the competition were announced back in September as Gariy Ocheretner Carlos Arredondo and Maximilian Koreny - I awoke in Singapore two days before their flights over to Thailand to a devastating message that Max could not make the trip due to personal reasons. His replacement Michael Miller was contacted last minute to take his place as I knew Mike would be arriving in Phuket anyway a few days after the guys. Mike is in the Institute of Trading and Portfolio Management and is one of our most valued Traders and Ambassadors. Gariy is from Louisville Kentucky and Carlos from San Antonio Texas. Gariy and Carlos were faced with a daunting 32 hour door to door trip into the unknown to make it to Phuket. I knew they wouldnt believe this was true until they landed in Phuket. I couldnt put them through the suspense and through a 32 hour door to door trip. So I flew them into NYC first for a sample of things to come and to give them a break prior to their big trip. I put them up at one of the Goldman Sachs hotels in NYC (secret Hotel cant tell the name) for a few nights before they got on their 27 hour door to door trip to Phuket from NYC. I picked them up from Phuket airport with my fiancé Meng Jiang and our driver Bond. Meng and I come to Phuket every year in December and January to re-charge. Its the place to be for winter sun for some of the coolest people in the world. We have several properties here that are pretty much always full of family, friends and fun characters that are renting the houses from us throughout the season. Phuket is not up and coming, it has arrived as a world beating winter sun destination, perfect for the coolest of the cool to get away from the none sense in the west. Infact, as I write this Jay Z and Beyoncé have just arrived in Phuket this morning. In terms of itinerary for the competition winners, we wanted to show Gariy, Carlos and Mike a special time, something different, a place that the world doesnt really know about or if known is greatly under-appreciated. We also wanted to show them an alternative way of thinking and an alternative way of life to what they are used too i.e. to view things in a different way to which the world has taught them, to question everything and to make informed and life changing decisions that better themselves and all people around them. As Carlos put it when he left the island last week - Anton, you have completely screwed up my dial - meaning? Well, Ive accomplished my mission in giving Gariy, Carlos & Mike a new perspective. We love doing this at the Institute. These are some of the main principles behind our education. We hope to share some of our experiences with you, so you can understand where we are coming from and why we do what we do. This will be the first post of their 2 week adventure into the unknown in order to update you on the experiences I showed too the guys. Their first 4 days were spent in NYC (2 Days), then on a Singapore Airlines flight to Singapore (via Frankfurt) then to Phuket (1 whole day) then..., I picked them up from the airport and we went straight to Nikki Beach Phuket to party and celebrate their arrival, then onto Catch Beach Club for dinner and drinks. We will upload more pics of their adventure soon, where things got very interesting on boat trips, helicopter journeys and 5 star luxury visits to Thailands most exclusive hotels, the best restaurants, spas and activities.
