60 years ago today, the Korean War Armistice Agreement was signed. Many events are being held where the Korean government invited the veterans from the United Nations Command, consisting of men and women from 16 countries, who answered the call to fight for a country they never heard of and people they never met. It should be myself who should be grateful but many veterans now in their late 80s or early 90s are thanking the Koreans, "We are grateful that you have become so prosperous with freedom and democracy, making us feel that our sacrifice was worthwhile." I feel humbly grateful to those who gave all they could give. 정전 60주년을 맞이하여 많은 행사가 개최되고 있다. 당시 유엔군 참전용사들을 초청하는 행사도 많다. 정말로 고마운 사람들이지만 정작 그들은 "너무나 잘 살아줘서 고맙습니다. 전우들의 희생이 헛되지 않았다는 것을 항상 느끼며 살 수 있게 해줘서."란 말로 고마워한다. 노병들의 겸양에 숙연해진다.
