60th day of history writing in Hong Kong. No one has no idea whats going on. We thought we knew, but we dont. Admiralty, Causeway Bay and Mongkok - these are nothing more than three neighbourhoods where we Hong Kong citizens are putting everything we have to act for what we believe in, no matter which side youre in. You could be an poet among the protesters in Admiralty writing one poem each day for the past 60 days; you could be a business owner, a father of two who thinks the umbrella revolution is disrupting the traffic in Causeway Bay and setting a bad example to the young ones; you could be an angry unemployed youngster who has successfully rally a small group of young people to flash mob on argyle street in Mong Kok; you could also be a mentally exhausted police officer who has been performing your duties faithfully but get insulted from the people you serve every time when you are in that blue uniform. All these people and stories - they are the revolution itself, not only the flashy and juicy images and videos on the internet. Do not point fingers and judge those on the streets while sitting comfortably on your couch and selectively reviewing contents from your segregated sources on your latest iPad Air 2. That doesnt make one an expert to the entire revolution and hence entitled the rights to judge everyone for causing trouble on the street. We all play a role in this city, and no one is too big nor too small to do anything to a place we called home. Is your mom too short to climb up that ladder to change the light bulb? Is your dad too insensitive to work countless hours to provide you a carefree childhood? Are you too old or too young to speak up and express love in any form of language to your home? We simply want to make an impact, especially when we realise that we do not matter to those who are supposed to lead us. Accountability is the foundation of trust between the government and the citizen. No Time For Caution. Time to dock.
