61 students and 5 staff members from Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Vardhaman College of Engineering, Shamshabad, Hyderabad participated in an Amateur Radio Awareness program held at National Institute of Amateur Radio (NIAR) today 2nd August 2014. They were shown a Video “A day in the life of a ham” followed by a power point presentation on Amateur Radio by Mr.S.Ram Mohan, VU2MYH, EVC & Director. SSTV, Digipan & VHF Communications were demonstrated by Mr.Mukesh Kumar Gola VU2MCW & Jose Jacob, VU2JOS. The students also participated in a mini fox hunt held in the NIAR campus. This was followed by a visit to NIAR Museum where various types of Amateur Radio equipment and accessories are displayed. They also saw with interest the working of Buddipole and other antennas in the campus. The following staff members from the college accompanied the students 1. Mrs. M. Rajani Devi 2. Mr. G.
