6th Annual Pender Island Flute Retreat with International Flute Soloists William Bennett (Royal Academy of Music, England) and Lorna McGhee (Principal Flute of Pittsburgh Symphony). Telling Stories in Sound. June 14-21, 2015, apply online (fluteretreat) by March 1. The program is geared toward professional and advanced university students. Weve had participants from Australia, Canada, England, Japan, Korea, Taiwan and from the US. There is also the option of attending as a Day Observer - choose the day and or classes you wish to attend - hear the great musicians of our time teach phrasing, sound and interpretation. This year we are opening the classes to other artists - come and hear great flutists perform in classes, then draw, paint, write what you hear, display your work from the week at the recital on Sat June 20th 1pm.
