7- Mukammilan Shurootuhul-Muqarrarah ** Mukaabidan Aadaabahul-Mutabarah. You should observe all its rules as laid down and be familiar with its codes of conduct. ## THE RULES AND REGULATION OF THE TIJJANI TAREEQA - The person who will give anyone the Wirdi Tijjani must have got permission to do so from the Sheikh. - The Tijjani Wirdi must not be mixed with the Wirdi of other Turuq. - A Tijjani murid must not visit nor rely on any other Sheikh who is not in the Tijjani order (for spiritual purpose). - A Tijjani must perform the five daily salat at their prescribed times in congregation (jami) unless there is valid/acceptable reasons not to do so. - A Tijjani murid must love Sheikh Tijjani and all his representatives (kulafai). - A Tijjani murid must not disregard the wraths/ punishments (makr) of Allah s.w.t. - A murid must not abuse nor make enmity with his fellow murid. - A murid must bear it in mind that the Tijjani Wirdi has no end until the end of his life (i.e the Wirdi is a commitment till death). - A murid must love his Sheikh for he is the Khalifa of Sheikh Ahmad Tijjani RA. - Whoever wishes to be initiated into the Tijjani Tariqa must search for a Muqaddam that is well trained and conferred the power to do so*. - A murid must have confidence in Almighty Allah with the Tariqa. - It is obligatory on all Murids to do Wirdi in congregation (i.e the Wazifa and Dhikril-haylala bada asri yaumul jumah). - Jawharatul-Kamal must not be recited without abulution (Tahaaratul-Maa-iyah). - A murid should always be in the company of Tijjani brothers and muslims (that are not Tijjani). - A murid should always be conscious of the time for all the Tijjani services (supplications) and must not be neglecting the service period. - A murid must give respect and honour to his parents and do good to them. - One must not give the Wirdi to anyone (initiate someone into the Tijjani Tariqa) untill he has permission from the Sheikhs to do so. - A murid must perform the Wird with clean body and cloth (Tahaaratul-badaniyyah wa thawbiyyah). - A murid must face the Qibla when performing the Wirdi alone. - Wirdi must be performed in a clean environment (Tahaaratul-makaan). - A murid should avoid talking to someone while performing the Wirdi except when necessary. - A murid should try as much as possible to picture the image of Sheikh Tijjani RA in his mind when performing the Wirdi. - A murid should know the meaning of what he is reciting during the Wirdi and if unable should raise his voice to his hearing.
