7.10am ready for breakfast . Our hurling story of yesterday proved a fabulous reaction. During my involvement as team manager I had some of the best moments of my life. Rosenallis were hurling at Junior B status .that was 1983 and our first training session was St Patricks of that year. It was a very wet day and some of the players trained in boiler suits and hobnails. I could not see where we were going but eventually all the lads bought into a winning philosophy. We won the junior b in 1984 and also the league that year along with three tournaments .great haul. We were destroyed with injuries in 1985 but got back on track in 1986 with the junior A title. We brought in Sean Delaney then. I returned in 1989 to find a lot of changes. Most of 1986 team were gone but we had a fabulous crop of young players ready for the challenge. With six minors aboard we won the Intermediate championship in a canter. The celebrations were fantastic boy did we know how to party. We were now senior and I was moved on. One of my great for Rosenallis was we never won a senior title , we had the talent ,literally everything needed To go on to greater heights. During th same period the footballers also reached senior status. Apart from Portlaoise we were the only club to have a senior hurling, and football teams Great memories. Yesterday I mentioned about the golden oldies and lo and behold the photos appeared o Rosenallis G A A page Yes I did play in in the seniors match v Clonaslee at johns grove . The game finished level and I missed a penalty in the shoot out Feeling good this trying to decide whether to go out for couple of hours on Xmas. Probably feel safer here but will decide tomorrow Hope am not boring you if so let me know and I will change tack Tomo
