7/11 accused says his papers are being leaked to prosecution By Sharmeen Hakim Indorewala, Mumbai Mirror|Aug 16, 2013, 02.16 AM IST Ehtesham Siddiqui, an accused inthe 7/11 blast case, has moved the special MCOCA court, seeking to restrain jail authorities from searching his belongings after a file containing case preparationsallegedly went missing. Siddiqui has expressed fears thathis documents are being passed on to the prosecution. He was arrested in 2006 for planting RDX in a Virar train and has been in Arthur Road prison since then. In an application, Siddiqui has told the court that he was produced in a Kurla court on August 3 as a complainant in a fake encounter case. On his return, he found his case papers lying scattered inside his cell and some stationery missing. The 36-year-old has filed several RTI applications and sought details about the witnesses against him in the case, the panchas, and even asked the court to summon them in the court. The application, which was filed on August 5, alleges that Siddiquilearned from other inmates that Jailor Govind Patil along with a team of 30 guards had searched all the open cells in the barrack. "Ifound that a file containing points of defence arguments was missing and Govind Patil hadtold a co-accused that he would return the file," said the application. Siddiqui has requested the court to direct DIG (Prisons) Swathi Sathe and Govind Patil not to search any of his belongings andcase papers. The special court has asked the prison officials to submit a report on Monday. Apart from this request to the court, Siddiqui has also sent a complaint to the home department and another to N M Joshi Marg police station seeking registration of an FIR.
