7/13/2014 Study Session Part 1 Terry McGuire and associates from Valley Crest Golf Course introduce themselves. They maintain our golf courses and keep them in perfect condition. Jeff Baum, Manager of Community Development gives overview of the funds in the CDBG for 2014/2015, future plans and how it will be used. ( FYI) Community Development Departments goal is to work with the community and continuously strive to improve our neighborhoods. The staff writes many of the grant applications submitted by the city and administers the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development funded programs to include Community Development Block Grant program, NSP and HOME. The staff is familiar with state and federal laws and regulations, works closely with service providers in the community and offers lower income residents a central source at which to turn for services and referral.
