7/19 - I have to take this time to write a quick thank you to a kind stranger. My (severely) autistic son and I take Walmart runs - I find people are so kind there. Anyway, today my son let out a very loud squeal while waiting in line. Instead of giving us a nasty stare, he looked at me and started asking me about my sons disability. He hadnt heard of autism. I tried to explain that my son could not speak and couldnt even understand him. (My son looks completely normal). The man continued to try to speak to him in a kind way and asked me about sign language, etc. I was very thankful for his kindness, his interest in learning about the disability and trying to be kind to my son. He said Goodbye to him and my son can say bye - he responded. Anyway, I think there are angels are earth. So, enjoy the following posts I found! :) [email protected].
