7/20/14 Dear Family and Friends, I wake every morning and am so thankful for another day God has given me. I know it has so much to do with all of you lifting me up in thoughts and prayers, and know I am very grateful. As many of you know my tumor marker started a bit above 4100 and at present it is at 62 (goal is under 35). My oncologist says I’m making excellent progress and we will continue with the therapy every two weeks of 52 hrs of treatment. The oncology team has been great and very supportive during this journey. I am also very fortunate to have additional support with an alternative MD/OD. He helped me prepare for the first chemotherapy and continues to help with all the side effects. He also has me on an organic vegetarian diet (lots of greens!) which certainly has not hurt me. I think the combination of the above and always being uplifted spiritually through all of your thoughts and prayers has made such a positive impact on my healing. At present, I have a lot of restrictions because of a low immune system (no public places, no large groups of people, stay out of the sun) which keeps me basically homebound. On the other hand, I am no longer leashed to oxygen 24/7, and no wheelchair, that is something to celebrate! Please know that I am truly grateful for the kindness of your, cards, emails, gifts, and monetary donations. It is because of your monetary donations I have been able to be treated with alternative medicine. Please continue to uplift me in your thoughts and prayers and know all of you are part of my healing. Love you, Isabel Hernandez
