7/30 AMAZING DAY AT THE DOCTOR. Saw my Diabetic doctor this afternoon. Each time I go I see a different person because they are training LECOM students. Todays doctor was Michael. Back when I first got into this medical mess my blood sugar was around 600 and my A1C was 15 (normal is 6 to 7) - Found out today that back in April I got my A1C down to 11. (no one told me back then) - today I got an updated A1C. I guessed it was normal at 7. They said nope - it is 5.8!!! WOW! They said they had never seen such a turnaround in numbers. They were literally amazed. All of my numbers back are normal from my blood tests - cholesterol, etc. So....starting tonight I NO LONGER HAVE TO GIVE INSULIN SHOTS! - Were still gonna monitor the numbers and make sure it does not go back up again. WOO HOO - headed in the right direction. Maybe someday I can be totally off meds and just control my sugar with diet. THANK YOU as always to anyone and everyone who has supported my recovery in one way or another. PRAYERS were a big key to my recovery I have no doubt.
