7:30am and already have a favorite quote of the day. Was summoned upstairs by a newly awakened Kenna, she tells me that she is bleeding...and she is. Looks like a small crime scene at the top of the stairs. Not only does she have a bloody nose (3rd one in 2 days :-/ but she scratched a scar on her knee that she got after falling at the pool and scraping her knee. The thing about Kenna, most of her wounds scar nasty. She has more keloid type scars than not and the one on her knee really is just kind of gross. Its really big, callous and dry and looks wartish almost. Anyway, she woke up and went crazy scratching it, broke the skin on the bottom of it and of course, Miss Bleeds alot, well, bled ALOT. I take her to the bathroom, get a warm rag and clean her face up and deal with the nose, then I clean her knee up and wash her hands and fingernails and as I am getting a bandage and scrounging for a tube of Bactroban for the knee she says, Mommy, youre kinda like a Doctor Mom. You can be my Doctor Mom? Youre my favorite Doctor Mom in the whole world! :) And for what its worth, I better be her ONLY Doctor Mom in the whole world :)
