7-BAPTISM IS TO BE DONE IN THE NAME OF THE FATHER, AND OF THE SON, AND OF THE HOLY GHOST Not only are you under commandment to be baptized, but Jesus said these words as He was about to go to be with His Father. Mt 28:19,20-GO YE THEREFORE, AND TEACH ALL NATIONS, BAPTIZING THEM IN THE NAME OF THE FATHER, AND OF THE SON, AND OF THE HOLY GHOST: TEACHING THEM TO OBSERVE (obey) ALL THINGS WHATSOEVER I HAVE COMMANDED YOU. Note the word "and," identifying the Trinity. By this commandment from Jesus to be baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, the believer is identifying with the ONE GOD manifested in three, eternally existing Persons. FOR THERE ARE THREE THAT BEAR RECORD IN HEAVEN, THE FATHER, THE WORD (Jesus), AND THE HOLY GHOST: AND THESE THREE ARE ONE (or united in one accord)-1 Jn 5:7. In these last days, many new, false doctrines have come along. One of them is the belief that there is no Trinity. This teaching denies there are three, eternally existing Persons of the Trinity. The Apostolic or United Pentecostals expound this doctrine and are usually identified in that they baptize in the name of Jesus only. Beware. Do not be led away with the error of these new doctrines that are springing up in this blind, Laodicean church age. More information regarding this false doctrine and the Trinity is available
