7 Japanese Learning Tips: 1. Try to learn at least 10 new words per day- These can be nouns, verbs, adjectives etc. Also, learn from the words that you use in everyday conversation. Dont fill your mind with words you may rarely use. 2. Use the words in a full sentence, preferably a simple sentence, using Google Translate, and a dictionary (Preferable Joshi Denshi)- This sounds corny and tedious, but it really helps you with Japanese grammar. 3. Use the resources online- Theres Quizlet, grammar sites, Japanese TV sites etc. that you can learn from! (check out previous post to get amazing tips and things that Im using to study Japanese) 4. Stay confident and set a goal- Its very important to set a goal for yourself each day. For me, I try to learn about 20 new Kanji (at least) a day. 5. Dont use Anime as your go-to source of learning, use it as a building block towards your goal. What I mean by this is, while learning Japanese, use it as something to check your place in Japanese learning. 6. Always imerse yourself in the Japanese language- Put your computer in Japanese, your phone, your Facebook, your calculator, whatever you can put into Japanese. Even if you cant read any of it, as you are learning, you will notice your progression through comprehension. 7. Have Fun!- Im not telling your to force yourself into boring 2 hour long study sessions, Im saying, use a method that works for you! Im nowhere near fluent either, so we can all rise together.
