7 PM this (Tuesday) evening at Spectrum Pianist Kuba Cichocki brings his dauntingly-talented quartet to Spectrum. Patrick J Breiner – saxophone Sean Ali – bass Flin van Hemmen – drums No Cover. One free, age-appropriate beverage will be provided to attendees. Pianist, composer, and improviser, Kuba Cichocki, invites to a special set of experimental music and performance. His pre-composed, structural and textural ideas create a framework for collective improvisation, also including the audience participation at times. Besides experimenting with various sets of sounds from both sides of the stage, spoken word will be employed, such as fairytales, articles or improvised lines. In addition to the free interplay between the musicians, the aim of the project is to create a broader, interactive experience, and to comment on the traditional context of a concert situation.
