7. Some Practices of Modern Baal Here we list several forms of idolatry of modern Baal, including that which is intrinsic to the so-called sacraments of modern institutional Christianity. Revelation 2:12-16 mentions the name Nicolaitanes. It is a compound word, composed of three Greek words and transliterated into English rather than translated. Those three Greek words are: (1) Nikos which means a conquest, victory, triumph over the conquered, dominancy over the defeated; (2) laos which means people of my judgment or my vengeance; and (3) ton (tan) is the genitive case plural in all genders of the definite article the. Hence, Nicolaitanes means that the bishops and prelates of modern Baal have gained a triumphant victory or conquest over the laity until the laity have been compelled to submit to the arbitrary dominion of men who have become that thing which God hates: lords over Gods heritage. In other words, the teaching of the Nicolaitans refers to the erroneous teaching that God has placed certain men in positions of administrative authority in His church, to whom all Christians must bow unswerving obedience. Modern institutional Christianity has several other forms of idolatry, including that which is intrinsic to the so-called sacraments. Although the Reformation has done much to bring institutional Christianity to Biblical principles and forms, much of institutional Protestant Christianity still carries many of these forms of idolatry as well. Certainly that of the teachings of the Nicolaitanes; but also many of the sacraments and other forms of idolatry which we now briefly mention. These teachings of Baal not only conflict with much of the Scripture on the full atonement available to us through Christ through faith; they also have the practical effect of separating the believer from Christ and keeping him/her into bondage to the institution and its human leaders. More specifically, the sacraments and other forms of idolatry common throughout modern Christian Baal which we mention here in the vugraph.
