7 hours on the road. 4 hours from Kingston to MoBay. 3 from MoBay - TopicsExpress

7 hours on the road. 4 hours from Kingston to MoBay. 3 from MoBay to Malvern. 7 hours of constant motion, cramped quarters, recycled air. 7 hours. But within that 7 hours I was reminded why Im willing to challenge myself so to run from one end of the island to another in order to compete in #MissJamaicaWorld2014 and finish my #CXC #CAPE Papers. Its because of all the little places in between. I love being able to see urban bustle melt seamlessly into seaside living on IslandTime and just as quickly change into the simple, rustic scenes Ive witnessed in my rural home. My rural home. My urban home. My seaside home. I know that none is more Jamaican than the other, Im proud to say Ive experienced each first hand and that in those fleeting moments that make up the 7 hour journey that bounds my life, I never feel out of place. I am MoBay born and MoBay raised, but I am never blind to the Jamaica outside my city. We are not stereotypical scenes of town and country, uptown and ghetto. We are one Jamaica, all of us and I will do my very best to represent that. ....Now lets tackle that Lit paper.
