7 things to keep you in the know at Canton First: 1) For Biker Sunday our special speaker, Roy Bennett, shared a message entitled, “From Beauty to Ashes.” Did you miss being with us? The video of the message will be available at cfnaz by this Wednesday. 2) Praise God for 120 people who have signed up to serve this Saturday, 10 AM-3 PM, in the CFNAZ gym to raise awareness for and create an opportunity to rescue victims of human trafficking. Please join us in covering this day of action in prayer. 3) Thank you to Gator, the Faith Rider Sunday School class and Mark Hurd for your planning, leadership and work for Biker Sunday 2014! 4) This Sunday we will share in two new opportunities! 1) We will meet Belle Stone Elementary School, Community Worker, Lisa Warden as we launch phase 2 of our partnership with this public school. 2) Join us as we begin a new message series called, “Let it Go”. We will explore why Jesus said for each of the 7 churches of Revelation to let go of or not to embrace the “angel” of their church. 5) Under construction! We want to thank our Buildings and Properties team for the work that they are beginning for our child check-in center and to make more room for our growing children’s ministry by creating more children’s worship hour, small group rooms! Praise God for the way a children’s ministry that is directly working to change the US statistic that says 59% of kids raised in the church will leave the church and Christ when they graduate high school. 6) Save the Dates: • Wednesday, August 13, All-Church Dessert and Town Hall meeting in the gym, 7-8:30 PM, to provide an update on the Refocus process and to receive feedback. (All of our Bible Studies and teen group will NOT meet this night so everyone can participate). (Parents are encouraged to bring their children along with a quiet activity). • September 21, 3-6 PM, Kimberly and I invite anyone who not yet a member to explore what it means to be a member at CFNAZ. Even if you do not wish to become a member, we invite you to share a meal with us and to learn more about what we believe, the Refocus process and what we value as a church family. Contact me to register at chad@cfnaz, 330-492-5698 or make a note on your connection card and place it in the offering plate. • October 26, Child Dedication and Baptism Celebration! Want to know more? Want to sign up? Contact me at chad@cfnaz, 330-492-5698 or make a note on your connection card and place it in the offering plate. 7) On-line giving is now available! You make a one-time donation or set up a recurring donation. Kimberly and I will be setting up a recurring withdrawal from our checking account. Go to cfnaz to get started. Praying for Freedom with You, Chad
