7 things you may not know about me. (If you would like to share, I am taking a cue from others who have given this a shot, and really seem to be surprised at what theyve learned about people they thought they knew): 1. I like singing balls-to-the-wall heavy metal at the top of my lungs, both hard rock and art rock and have done so since I was 15 and in a high school band. I still have a 4+ octave range and a strong falsetto for airy high-highs. My favorite singers are/were Robert Plant, Freddie Mercury, Bon Scott, Lou Graham, Ronnie James Dio, Ozzy Osbourne, Steve Perry, Paul Rodgers, Sting, Kevin Cronin, Dennis DeYoung, Mickey Thomas and Klaus Meine. 2. I was rather slow to physically mature as a kid, and still had some baby teeth in high school. 3. I started making movies at age 10 with Super-8 film cameras using Jim Henson-like puppets, moved onto VHS video TV skits like SNL and Monty Python by 14, and by age 15 started writing feature film and TV scripts. To date I have continued to develop my passion projects and still write every day, knowing Im just getting to the point where my work has some real life-lessons and maturity. Its because theres a catharsis in writing for me. 4. Im agnostic, but I constantly tear-up whenever Im in church-synagogue-mosque-temple-etc for weddings, prayer, meditation, Christmas, christenings, a mass or even a regular Sunday Assembly Los Angeles or Immanuel Lutheran Church service, because the spirit of human unity comes into my soul and its crushingly beautiful to me. 5. I will selflessly defend and honor all those who are helpless, defenseless or downtrodden. I would give away my last dime, last drop of blood and last breath if necessary to save another person from physical harm, physical abuse or the possibility of death. I believe in the Knights Code. 6. If you are my friend there is nothing I would not do for you. Once you are in my life, you can count on me forevermore. There is no limit, no expiration date and no point at which we will become estranged --unless you decide theres no more reason to be in the relationship-- and you alone decide to cut ties. I will always remain true. 7. Ive only loved one girl, the woman I married, and the lady I foolishly lost.
