70 degrees today in Philadelphia making for a very nice Veterans Day. That is 12 degrees above normal and only 4 degrees shy of the record high for this date set back in 2006. Clouds are thickening thanks to an onshore flow and that will continue to be the case overnight. The clouds should lower and we are likely looking at areas of fog/drizzle late tonight into early tomorrow morning. Temps remain very mild overnight----dropping only down to near our average highs. On Wednesday clouds hang tough in the morning and then the cold front pushes through around midday. Winds will pick up and skies will turn sunny, but colder air will not filter in until the overnight hours. Once again we will reach the mid to upper 60s. Thursday the bottom falls out and we only reach the upper 40s for a high—around 10 degrees below average. Morning sun gives way to afternoon clouds and a weak disturbance passes through overnight. This could touch off a rain/snow shower---not a big deal overall, but some places could see their first flakes of the season if people are awake late at night. Cold stays around for the forseeable future and we could be in for more in the way of precipitation on Sunday night. Time will tell if that is mainly a rain event or if some of the northwest suburbs can get in on some wet snow.
