$740 - $74 = $666...How ironic Owed IRS $74.00. Amount Bank of America cleared $740.00 from the $74.00 check. Heavy gasp this morning when I checked on my bank account. My bank, Bank of America, cleared a checked yesterday for $740.00 that was actually made out for $74.00 to the IRS. When I called the bank, my first contact was to an operator in Costa Rica who I could not understand....hmmmm Bank of America. I then asked to be connected to someone in US....yeah it worked! Biggest problem I have with this...she told me that was the amount the IRS took and they cleared it automatically. Time to find a new bank.
