75 GMC Jimmy project: installed flywheel and clutch assembly - TopicsExpress

75 GMC Jimmy project: installed flywheel and clutch assembly today. Although the old components still look good, I opted to purchase brand new flywheel and clutch assembly. A clutch on a one ton GM truck is not something I want to have to dig into for a long time again! Its also a LOT easier to install or remove when it is exposed in the frame with no body, then to do it from under a truck. Sure hope I did all this correctly! Relied on my trusty GM factory manuals and whatever knowledge I have of this stuff in my head! :) Also picked up a used clutch fork, as the spring on the old one was broken. Next step is to clean and paint the old clutch fork and make it look new again. Then install it, the throw out bearing and the bell housing.
