75 people in Christmas Island are now in the fourth day of a sit in protest and hunger strike outside the compounds. They have slept outside - even though its been raining. 350-400 people inside the compounds are in the third day of a hunger strike, theyve been locked inside their compounds - not allowed out and no activities or classes. 7 people have stitched their lips together. They are protesting being in detention for 10 and 11 months with no news or indication about the progress of their cases. They are being threatened with being transferred to Manus and Nauru. They say if Australia is going to reject them they should tell them so they can try and seek asylum in another country - but not to just leave them in prison and in limbo with no answers.
