75 years ago today… April 7, 1939 An amphibian (seaplane) version of PBY flying boat is ordered by the Navy from Consolidated Aircraft of San Diego, California. Italy invades Albania, which offers only token resistance. The Italians bombarded several coastal towns and landed an army. King Zog and his queen fled to Greece, and eventually went to Turkey.
