[ 7th year anniversary ] It is the exact same day of 7 years ago when I came to Singapore with my 60kg luggages as if I am moving to Singapore for good (I am not sure if I am even though theres a chance for it) - but point is, I left nothing behind in my hometown and I dont exactly have my own personal room anymore. I remembered it was an exciting day for me that I was waiting for day by day after the day I got my scholarship to come over to study. There was so much expectation and I was really looking forward to that day. There are so many changes since then. I was so into studying last time (I even reminded all my classmates to do their homework), involved into so many activities and boarding school events, and greeted every single person that I met in boarding school in spite of whether I know them. It was really a good time of learning (both academically and non-academically), meeting great teachers and friends and growing up through good and bad times. Time really flies and coming to a foreign land alone (having zero relative, not even one that is far-related) at the age of 15 is really no joke. I was scared at some points of time but not once I felt homesick, I am extremely grateful to be able to be part of this great Singapore. I am extremely thankful for all the people that I met until now as well as all the experiences that I have gone through. It has been so long in such a way that along the way some friends come and go; some that I dont even know where they are, some that I still see them around and just saying hi, and some that have always been around by my side even until now. As this academic journey is ending soon and as I need to move on to my chapter soon, I am expecting more stories to unfold with great people in the future. So once more time, thank you so much for everything: my friends, my teachers, and Singapore.
