8/11/2014 Olivias Update: per Seth Hatfield Olivia had a good & restful weekend. Seth bought checkers/ chess and an Uno game. Olivia had trouble concentrating on the Board games but yesterday beat Seth 2/2 times and 1 time today. She said you worry about me but you cant beat someone with a TBI. =) Today the PT walked with Olivia using just the gait belt. Olivia walked from her chair to the shower. In the therapy gym she also worked on the mat on her hands and knees (crawling position) to help strengthen her left arm and shoulder. Her OT cancelled the left elbow cast appointment for today because her elbow only lacks 15 degrees from being straight. The OT thinks it will straighten from exercise and by using it. Olivia worked on cognitive things with ST. One of the ST sessions Olivia used her feet to propel her wheelchair to the Apothecary with her ST and practiced buying something. Olivia is continuing to work hard at her job of relearning just about everything. Another update planned for Thursday evening. We thank you so much for your prayers.
