8-20-14 Well ,I finally opened up the other side for Brave and Freedom today; They were so funny ,when they went in there-It was like a whole new land exploration;the way they were behaving anyway.. they couldnt explore enough = they were running ,hiding, digging at lots of old stumps-eating larvae ,ants, and getting full on apples,climbing the trees,splashing in the vernal pool that is full to the brim, along with the pond being full in the other side of my 5 acres too. I wish I had my camera on me when I, 1st went to put them over in the new section - oh well.. I did end up getting some pretty good video later on.. I am posting just a bit. Aww...It just does something to my soul; Gosh, I am so thankful for these moments, as such, it truly brings me peace :o) I did end up feeding quite a few apples today from the apple trees, and the cubs were indeed fat and happy - maybe they had a few to many...I am supplementing them some, but I sure am still trying to keep their diet greatly natural foraging-there are lots of big Oak trees with acorns, and many old rotted stumps filled with ants, larvae, and some blueberry bushes are in there too - the list goes on.... As time went on - Brave was nestled not far from the pond - laying on her back ,and just comfortably snoozing, digesting..while Freedom was about 15 ft away exhausted, full, and just chilling out near a big ol tree...I will update more soon with time permitted, and as always -Thank you for your patience!
