8/28/14 -- conservativetribune Red Flag News is reporting ... Generals are being fired or forced into early retirement if they disagree or otherwise dissent from Obama’s agenda that is hollowing out our military force. Retired Major General Patrick Brady points to such issues as the repeal of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell”, which allows openly gay people into the military, allowing women into combat infantry units, along with the ill-timed and poorly aimed budget cuts from the Sequester, as being key components of the weakened morale and combat effectiveness of the military. “They are purging everyone, and if you want to keep your job, just keep your mouth shut,” said a source that wished to remain anonymous. Retired Lt. General William “Jerry” Boykin says that the amount of high ranking officers being fired or resigning is unprecedented, and troubling. “I believe there is a purging of the military, the problem is worse than we have ever seen.” Because of the tradition of not speaking out against the civilian leadership, many senior officers that would be next in line for leadership positions are voluntarily seeking early retirement, as a way to silently express their disapproval of current policies, rather than stay in a military they no longer feel they recognize. Although many of the early retirements have been made in protest, there are those that feel at least some of them were pressured by the administration to retire or get fired, based on political reasons, or to cover up scandals, especially the Benghazi terror attack. It is estimated that at least three of the nine firings that have occurred this year are directly related to Benghazi. Two Generals and an Admiral have gone against the White House narrative on the terror attack, and maintain that US forces in the region could have responded to the attack in time to possibly save the lives of those who were killed. Retired Major General Paul Vallely has been outspoken in his criticism of the Obama administration, and of their policies that he says are hurting the military. He is especially critical of the tendency to cover up misdeeds within the administration, while firing military leaders for little or no reason. “Obama will not purge a civilian or political appointee because they have bought into Obama’s ideology,” Vallely said. “The White House protects their own. That’s why they stalled on the investigation into Fast and Furious, Benghazi and Obamacare. He’s intentionally weakening and gutting our military, Pentagon and reducing us as a superpower, and anyone in the ranks who disagrees or speaks out is being purged.” These brave former military leaders must be supported when they speak out and share the truth. There is no doubt that Obama dislikes the military, and it is obvious that his policies are designed to weaken and demoralize our force. Progressive liberal elites despise the military, and will do anything in their power to weaken and destroy it. They don’t want a strong military force for America, and would prefer that the US military be little more than a small force that is part of a larger, multinational force, like NATO and the UN. The end result of Obama’s military purge and destructive policies will be a hollowed out military that will be incapable of projecting American power and influence around the world, and unable to protect and defend US interests in volatile hot spots. This must be stopped, and if the Republicans gain control of Congress in the midterm elections, reconstitution of a strong military needs to be high on their priority list. conservativetribune/obama-firing-generals-why/
