8/29: Thursday Night Thunder back at the KRA Speedway tonight for season championship.. Start things off with the MidWest Modified feature and it would see young Justing Froemming lead the field and would hang on till 3 to go when Jason Vejtruba was battling him for the lead and the yellow would come out. They scored Vetjruba ahead of Froemming and the 38j would cruise to victory followed by Froemming n Tim Kenten the top 3... The Street Stocks would be next and it was a dandy and in the end it would see Jordan Tollakson make his way to the front fending off Justin Vogel and Dave Read the top 3... The Super Stocks would be all Dan Gullikson cruising to his 15th win of the season picking up where he left off last weekend with wins at KRA, Deer Creek and Granite City Speedway last weekend. Gary Hussman and Bob Holtquist would round out the top 3 in that one... The Mod 4s would be next and it would be all Tyler Larson who looked to be on his way to his first feature win at the KRA Speedway in the 2013 season before something broke with 3 laps to go setting up a restart with Matt Halls, Dustin Zeiske, and Kyle Thell to settle it out. It would see Halls jump to the lead but get high in 3/4 which allowed Zeiske to get by and take the lead and feature win followed by Halls and Thell... Last up the Modifieds and oh boy was it good. The mighty ford driven by Brian Haben lead all 18 laps in route to his 2nd career Modified feature win and 2nd of the year as well fending off the "ICEMAN" Don Eischens who put one hell of a run to challenge Haben for the win but came up one corner short i believe. Eric Martini who had problems in his heat came from 14th to finish 3rd, Andy Gordon 4th, and Brandon Nelson rounding out the top 5.... Want to update ya on other tracks: Travis Saurer sweeps in his MidWest Modified at the Norman County Raceway, Adam Burrows win his 12th of the season in the Street Stocks and NCR, and SUPERMAN Mike Stearns gets the broom out as well picking up #21 at Norman County Raceway... The Silver 1000 show at the Proctor Speedway the Modifieds went to Kevin "Buzzy" Adams and the Late Models went to the Hammer Darrell Nelson.... Not sure what tomorrow is going to bring either Fergus or Monte then the rest of the weekend is looking like Brainerd Saturday, Brainerd/Alex Sunday and possibly Granite City Speedway Monday...
