8/30/14 --- PLEASURE OF SERVING (Portals of Prayer) Jesus chose to leave His throne---the one He had every right to claim as the Lord of Life. Yet He was born of a virgin mother, and a carpenter was His earthy father. Later, Jesus chose a group of fisherman, tax collector, and a thief. In all of these choices, He willingly chose to follow His Fathers will to suffer and die to pay for the sins of the world. He served His Father so that we can serve others, show mercy, and walk humbly in the salvation. He has won for us. Lord of Life, I want to remember that You became a baby ad then grew into a man who suffered and died foe me. Show me Your grace, that I may willingly serve my neighbor. Amen.
