8/7/2014. Jay Shri Krishna Friends there is only one entity in this universe that can make me happy, Same way there is only one entity that can make me distressed, and that is ME. Lord Krishna says in Gita that you are your helper, your brother; and you are your detractor, your enemy. आत्मैव ह्यात्मनो बन्घुरात्मैव रिपुरात्मन:।। (Gita-6/5) (Atmeivhyatmnobandhuratmeivripuratmanh). A man himself is his brother and his enemy. This life is half full or half empty glass. You can say that there is one night between two days or you can say that there is only one day between two nights. Situation is one and same. It is a question of interpretation. Life is how you interpret it. This universe is full of polarity. This world runs on the principle of equilibrium. Universe can only run when it is balanced. If you want day, prepare for night, too, to balance it. If you want happiness, be prepared for distress also. When you desire light, beware, you also desire for darkness. Your desiring for light includes desiring for darkness also. It is not single. It can’t be. It is always in package. Bye one take other free of cost. If you harmed anybody, it is package, you are also harming yourself. Your volition of harming anybody includes harming yourself also, for that no separate volition is required. This universe is designed that way only. It can be designed that way only, for its smooth running. So you will have to face the duality while you are in this universe. It is like inhaling and exhaling. Once you inhale, you have no option to exhale. If you take food, you will have to visit toilet, no option. Same way this universe runs on duality. The earlier you accept and imbibe this reality the sooner you will be happy and complaint less. Now it is totally in your hands how to interpret the life. There is only one way to exit this phenomenon and that is don’t desire anything. Give nature, the God, chance to decide on your behalf. Whatever He sends you in the stride of this life, accept as the Prasad of God and enjoy whole heartedly. Here in this universe your desire doesn’t work. Because for the fulfillment of your desire many other desires need to be modified, and those many desires affects other many desires, and if your desire is allowed, the entire universe will fall down. The nature takes care of you and tries to accommodate you as much as possible, taking into consideration the equilibrium of the universe. The System of nature is so programmed that it tries as maximum as possible to accommodate the person. The nature expects you to be a large hearted and understand the difficulty of the System involved. Now it is up to you how to take it. Suppose you are two brothers and you have agriculture to look after. The crop is ready and one brother has to remain present at farm during night for the safety of the crop and one brother can remain at home. Here you know the entire game and accept the arrangement reasonable and legible, and you don’t have any complaint that you have to remain away from the house during night. Same way the universe makes arrangement, and distributes the different duties to different people, but as you don’t know the totality of the universe you are not happy with the task came to your part and you become distressed. Try to understand the difficulty involved in running the entire universe. Have trust in the management of universe by God and his efficiency and impartiality in distributing the duties and the things. If you buy this model, then you will not have to compromise. Please see compromising is also a way out. But it is devoid of all good things. Here you feel helpless. You feel that you are forced to accept the duty to go to farm during the night. But if you have love for God, and you make yourself as a member of the entire world family, then you will be happy to accept the duty. That is why Shruti says, for generous people the entire world is a family. उदारचरितानां वसुधैव कुटुंबकम् । (महोपनिषद-६/७२) So it is you who can make you happy and it is you who can make you distressed, none else can.
