8/9/14 -ENC-Extreme Weather Team Extreme Weather Lab Daily Forecast- FLOOD ADVISORY- ...THE FLOOD ADVISORY CONTINUES FOR THE FOLLOWING RIVER IN NORTH CAROLINA.. NORTHEAST CAPE FEAR NEAR BURGAW AFFECTING PENDER COUNTY -Current Radar- Current Radar showes cloudy skies over much of the area. Showers along and west of I95 and north of 64 and down through the outerbanks to Morehead. This area of showers will Continue to move South West giving everyone showers by late morning. SYNOPSIS: A STATIONARY FRONT WILL REMAIN OVER THE SOUTHEAST INTO EARLY NEXT. WEEK WITH SEVERAL AREAS OF LOW PRESSURE MOVING ALONG IT. THE FRONT WILL DISSIPATE BY MIDWEEK AS ANOTHER FRONT APPROACHES FROM THE NORTHWEST. -Extended This weekend will be a wet come. There will be a slight chance for a shower early Saturday morning with chances getting better through out the day. A cold front will stall this weekend to our south while still giving us chance for rain this weekend as areas of low pressure ride along this stalled frontal boundary. Some models are picking up on the rain hanging a lilttle further south but I am not trusting that model right now. Flooding will be possible due to all the heavy rain we had this week and last few weeks. Expected rains could amount to 4 more inches in local areas by Monday. Conditions will have to be monitored with the current forecast for large amounts of rain in the area. Temperatures should remain unseasonably cool for this time of year.
