8 months and 14 days ago we lost our mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Today is my mom and her twin sisters 78th birthday. Our annual West Family Reunion (3 days) is always on their birthday. This year was so difficult and we appreciate so much having our cousins with us throughout the weekend. I was holding up fairly well until her daughters, sisters, nephews and nieces sang Happy Birthday to my Aunt Sticky for the first time without my mom. I had to leave the room - just simply fell apart. My heart is shattered. We are all so blessed to have such a wonderful family and loving friends who cared for Ginny just like she was family. Kenny N Diana Hokit and Rhonda Faulkner Dugan we love you all so much. The lovely purple flowers were put on Ginnys grave yesterday by Rhonda - thank you for being such a wonderful best friend. I went in each room of the Ofi House tonight and looked at the dozens of photos of my mom and her dogs and horses. I miss her every day and realized today the tears will never stop. The last words she ever said to me, was Scratch Ofis belly. So, hold those you love close, and if you are blessed with four legged family members, please scratch their bellies for Ginny tonight.
