8 years ago, my oldest son, Thomas Parr, a tad bit on the rebellious side, but loaded with ambition, began a journey....he left home to begin basic training for the United States Navy. Today, he completed that journey. I have watched him change from an 18 year old kid to a confident, well-educated, successful man/husband/father/student. Its been a journey Ive watched with pride but also, at times, with a mothers sheer terror as he left for multiple deployments. 2 years into his Electrical Engineering degree, hes ready to begin the next chapter, with his wife, Nicole Grace Parr, and daughter, Isabella, by his side. Congratulations, Thomas, on a job well done...youve made this momma proud! Please, friends, keep Thomas and his family in your prayers as he readjusts to civilian life, and continues on his chosen career path.
