8 years ago today in weather that was quoted to have too many who prayed for good weather (105 degrees, humid, sunny, and breezy) Dan and I exchanged our vows under the biggest most beautiful maple tree in Skandia. With $700 to spare, a borrowed wedding dress, and a lot of good ol fashion pitching-in from friends and family, we threw together a simple yet memory lasting wedding, (before the advent of Pinterest I must add) with more pies that one could ever imagine, an ice cream truck, a slip-n-slide for the kids, and a homemade southern style BBQ dinner. It was a day full of magical harp playing music, LOTS of family and friends, wild flowers, and even ending with a dip in the local swimming hole!
