#8996 Hyderabadi Confessions ; ) : D Hyderabad, December 26: While Muslims across the city are on in full swing to celebrated Eid Milad-un-Nabi, to mark the birthday of the Holy Prophet of Islam Hazrat Muhammad Sallalahu Aalaihi Wa Sallim on January 4 on grand scale, Islamic seminary have begun issuing calls for low key celebrations with religious fervour by helping the community. This year, the Islamic Seminary is also going hi-tech by circulating its fatwa on various platforms, including the internet and web-based messaging applications. “This is vice-chancellor Mufti Khaleel Ahmeds view. The fatwa prescribes that Milad is a time to engage in religious worship,” said Anwar Ahmed from the Jamia Nizamia, the Islamic seminary. So as to create awareness, religious decree is being displayed at the entrances of mosques and also at other places. “We are encouraging people not to use DJs and crowd the streets unnecessarily. Instead, bodies such as Meher Foundation and others are organizing blood donation camps which they deem are constructive, “Saleem Qadri, a resident of Hussaini Alam said. Syed Zaheeruddin Soofi, Sunni United Forum of India (SUFI) president and former AP State Wakf Board member said, “We are against wearing colours on the face and creating nuisance. We urge bikers not to break traffic rules on Milad-un-Nabi eve. Instead they can take part in blood donation camp on December 28 and help us to collect 1,500 units of blood.” Meanwhile, South Zone DCP V Satyanarayana said that the police has engage community senior and put in plain words to them that young bikers can disturb the traffic flow.
