8am. Cannot sleep. Took yet another dose of pain meds. Drifting off at my desk until the spasms start from the post-surgery healing and I am jolted away with cramping and muscle spasms. Took three Flexeril, 2 and a half tablets of 10/325 Norco, and 150mg of Tramadol. No, this is not an overdose. Aside from taking the Norco (which I only take for severe muscle spasming like NOW -- or breakthrough pain), this is my regular pain-med regimen as prescribed from my doctor to handle my Fibromyalgia and Peripheral Neuropathy. I feel nauseous and have had a big loss of appetite because of the pain and the cramping which radiates across my abdomen. The surgeon has said this is relatively normal but it can last up to 6 weeks as everything heals. Since I am prone to very bad cramping in general as a result of my Fibromyalgia and Neuropathy as well as "female issues" -- I am truly feeling miserable. I am waiting a half-hour for these pain meds to kick in. This absolutely is awful.
