8th Annual Baku Summer Energy School July 5-18, 2014 We are pleased to announce the 8th annual Baku Summer Energy School due to take place on July 5-18, 2014 in Baku, Azerbaijan. Organized by ADA University’s Caspian Centre for Energy and Environment, and the State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), this event brings together world-renowned scholars, academicians and policy makers to examine and gain a better understanding of global energy and environment issues and their practical application. Topics to be covered include the geopolitics of the Caspian region, strategic outlook of SOCAR, energy and environmental issues with a special focus on the Caspian Basin, and the regional pipeline network development. Along with gaining a greater appreciation for the Caspian Basin and environmental issues in Azerbaijan, participants have an invaluable opportunity to meet, discuss and network with leaders of public and private energy sectors from Azerbaijan and the Caspian region.
