8th May COOKERY BOOKS. I dont have many cookery books, so Ive topped up my harvest with what I suppose you could call lifestyle aspirational books. Projects and skills that I thought I would get around to one day. For years or even decades these poor volumes have languished in a kind of limbo, awaiting the day they would fulfil their destiny and be taken down from the shelf to be consulted and studied. Their little spines would tingle with anticipation whenever I approached the bookcase. Please, oh please let it be me this time, you might have heard them squeal. Alas, only to be passed over in favour of Maeve Binchy or Terry Pratchett yet again. So now I am liberating them. Fly free my lovelies and find someone who will love you as you deserve to be loved!
