9/11/01... not many know this.. This is a knife my father made out of the World Trade Center Steel.. He was commissioned (asked to create and donate his time and work) along with a select few of the worlds best knife makers to make/create custom works out of the mangled I-Beams from the wreckage to auction off to raise money for the firefighters families and other victims of the unforgettable tragedy. He Humbly accepted. This is what he created out of the wreckage. They were able to raise a lot of money to help those families of those brave souls that were lost on that tragic day. The commemorative scrim shaw on the handle was done by a very talented artist and dear family friend Richard (Hutch) Hutchings . The steel holds and energy that even without knowing what it is will give you goose bumps and raise the hair on your neck as well as draw a tear once you realize what it is. Never Forget.....
