9/11 2001 I was holding my soon to be 4 month old first born! Watching the terror unfold on TV. Phone calls from my husband, family & friends flooding in with disbelief. Crying as the rest of the country. Anger, fear and uncertainty ran through me. My husband put on high alert, selfishly scared he will be sent away. Watching this unfold today 13 years later, the feelings in my heart is just as fresh as when it happened. As tears run down my face this morning as I hear the names called of the lost that day, I cant help but think about how our personal story is connected to this day. 4 years later my husband was sent to Afghanistan to fight in the war Enduring Freedom, which ultimately scaficed the witnessing & presence of his sons birth and the only two months he would have had to hold him before he died. O How all our lives have changed since that day and continued to change even years later. The only comfort I have is that we will see our loved ones again and will be welcome by them at the gates of heaven with our lord Jesus Christ. Today I pray for the many families that have lost a loved one or was effected by this tragedy. I pray that God comforts you with peace and forgiveness to those who did this because as Jesus Christ said on the cross to our father forgive them Father for they know not what they do Amen
