9/11: Never forget that atrocities happen worldwide, year round. The death of 3,000 people, mostly American, is no more or less tragic than the thousands of civilian deaths caused by the Iraq war, the still increasing death toll of men, women, and children caused by U.S. drone strikes, the untold thousands who have died in Israeli-Palestinian conflict, the hundreds of thousands snuffed out at Hiroshima and Nagasaki, etc., etc., ad nauseum. If you mourn for the loss of American life in 9/11, mourn for the lives still being unjustly taken elsewhere in the world. Life is precious wherever it is found, and a tragedy whenever it is taken.
