9/18. Graysons school: not resolved. Graysons transportation: not resolved. Some children are provided bussing. Not my child. When asked, various answers provided for denying us transportation, as a disabled caretaker family- distance. (we fulfill that). Crossing the arteriole (We fulfill that, as they changed Grays school without consent). Today, its neighborhood specific. Excuse me? Maxs French class: still not resolved. The guidance counselor doesnt even bother to return my call. At this point the school does not offer French after French5 and refused to provide the necessary paperwork for him to attend DCC. Maxs gym class: still not resolved. He must either give up eating lunch, or give up playing an instrument because the school refuses to add a gym class to accommodate AP students OR allow us to verify alternative Phys Ed. Despite lacking 2 classes, they have him leaving the building at 7th period. Maxs college preparatory info: never happened. College fair is limited to seniors only. The upcoming college fair is limited to Black students only. We have asked his guidance counselor for college info for 2 years now. Max will be attending DCC next year, and possibly this year, if the French debacle is ever addressed. So, the school refuses to give us any info on how to choose a college, or prepare his HS career for college entrance, or ANY COLLEGE PREP INFO AT ALL, until AFTER HE IS ATTENDING COLEGE. Could this district discriminate any more openly? Sorry my kids in AP classes. Thats gotta reflect real badly on a school with a 50% graduation rate. I guess he and his classmates arent their target students.
